Senior Associate Project Manager

Job Purpose
To lead Project Management Commissions, ensuring end-to-end service delivery for large or complex projects—typically within £10m to £25m (or larger for advisory projects such as urban regeneration).
Core responsibilities include:
- Acting as the key client interface, ensuring objectives are aligned with time, budget, and quality standards.
- Overseeing client engagement from inception to delivery.
- Managing cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and performance metrics (KPIs).
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Strategic advisory for project alignment, analyzing client objectives and risk mitigation strategies.
- Defining project requirements, success criteria, and governance frameworks.
- Developing and maintaining schedules, master plans, and budgets.
- Leading resource planning, procurement, and team facilitation.
- Ensuring adherence to Health & Safety (H&S) and Environmental (E) protocols.
- Performance tracking, change management, and cost control.
- Reporting progress (written and oral) to stakeholders and clients.

Client & Stakeholder Relations
- Representing Turner & Townsend as the primary contact for clients.
- Conducting regular updates via meetings and documentation.
Key Accountabilities (KPIs)
Project Delivery
- Completing projects within scope, budget, timeline, and quality standards.
- Ensuring client objectives are met as per contractual terms.
Team Leadership
- Effective management of cross-functional project teams.
- Fostering strong client-partner relationships.
Business & Financial Management
- Active participation in recruitment, retention, and career development (staff development).
- Business development initiatives, including responding to tenders and cross-selling opportunities.
- Financial accountability, including budget control, forecasting, and cost reports.
Process & Governance Compliance
- Adherence to corporate governance (T&S policies and SOX controls, where applicable).
- Maintaining accurate [data and communication records].

Qualifications & Experience
Ideal Candidate
- Degree qualifed (preferably in Civil Engineering).
- Experience on £100m+ program projects (ideal preferred).
- NEC: ECC Project Manager certification.
- Preferred Chartered or qualified status (ICE, APM, RICS, etc.).
