Do you want to help shape the next generation of onshore wind projects in the UK?

As an Associate Project Manager – Onshore Wind, you will play a key role in developing projects that make the energy transition tangible. At Vattenfall, there is a way — and you can help build it.

What will you do?

You will support the development of onshore wind projects across England and Scotland, guiding them from early concept through to final investment decision. Working closely with experienced colleagues and external partners, you help ensure projects move forward in a structured and responsible way, directly contributing to the energy transition.

Your Responsibilities Include

  • Supporting Project Managers in delivering key milestones during the development phase of wind projects
  • Maintaining project documentation such as timelines, risk registers, budgets and stakeholder plans
  • Taking ownership of specific workstreams, for example stakeholder engagement, ecological surveys or design coordination
  • Working closely with internal teams and external consultants to ensure alignment across project phases
  • Engaging with landowners, public officials and local communities throughout the development process
  • Promoting a safe and structured way of working within project teams

Location

The position is based in Hexham (Northumberland) or Edinburgh, with flexible and hybrid working options. The successful candidate has to be prepared to, on occasion, travel and work out of office hours. A Driving license is desirable, but not essential.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
