Overview

This Associate role sits within the Commercial Real Estate Debt team of a global real estate company, based in its London office. The team has a 28-year track record of partnering with real estate owners and operators to provide lending solutions across the capital stack and every major asset class, deploying capital through real estate, asset-backed lending, and opportunistic credit vehicles.

The successful candidate will join a lean, growing team with meaningful exposure to senior members of the business and direct involvement across all stages of the investment process — from analysis and underwriting through to execution and post-closing portfolio management.

The Associate will participate in a broad range of European real estate debt transactions across all property types, including new debt originations (first mortgage loans, junior debt, B-notes, and preferred equity), acquisitions of performing real estate loans, CMBS and real estate corporate loans, and restructurings and recapitalisations.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the sourcing, evaluation, and execution of new investments across a variety of European geographies and property types. Prepare and present detailed investment memorandums and financial models for investment committee review. Conduct comprehensive due diligence, including gathering and reviewing documentation from borrowers, brokers, and third parties. Support the structuring, negotiation, and closing of investment transactions in coordination with deal teams, legal counsel, and closing departments. Participate in deal pipeline management, early-stage deal screening, ongoing portfolio monitoring, and reporting. Interface with borrowers and industry partners to ensure timely and successful transaction execution.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
