Salesforce Marketing Cloud Associate – Digital Communications

This is a great opportunity to join our Digital Communications team, supporting the delivering and continuous improvement of customer communications through Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).

As a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Associate, you’ll:

  • Work hands-on in building and delivering customer communications at scale, with a focus on email and automation
  • Play a key role in maintaining and optimising the platform
  • Improve existing processes to ensure efficient and accurate communication delivery
  • Best suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with attention to detail
  • Balance day-to-day operational tasks with larger projects and platform enhancements

How You’ll Contribute

  • Build, test, and deploy customer communications (email & SMS) in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including implementing copy changes and maintaining business-as-usual updates
  • Support and maintain marketing automations and customer journeys, ensuring efficiency and ongoing optimisation
  • Conduct platform audits, clean-up activity, and housekeeping to improve performance, governance, and **reduce inefficiencies“
  • Identify and enhance legacy processes, such as:
    • Naming conventions
    • Outdated journeys
    • Manual workflows
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal queries, assisting other teams in troubleshooting, checks, and issue resolution
  • Collaborate with ECM, data, and customer support teams to ensure accurate and effective communication delivery
  • Produce clear documentation while contributing to:
    • Campaign delivery
    • Platform projects
    • Migrations
    • Onboarding

Essential Requirements

  • Experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud or another marketing automation platform
  • Hands-on experience in building emails using HTML/CSS
  • Ability to lead a project from initial brief to delivery
  • Strong organisation and time management skills, with effective prioritisation
  • Comfortable working with data, segmentation, and audience targeting, with an interest in technical/data skills
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration
  • Proactive mindset, capable of:
    • Identifying issues
    • Improving processes
    • Clear documentation

Bonus Skills

  • Familiarity with SQL or data querying
  • Experience in QA, testing, or peer review
  • Knowledge of Jira/agile methodologies
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications
  • Prioritised experience in a data-driven or B2C environment
