Role Overview

This dual-hat position requires you to support both MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities (EMEA), ensuring neutral and unbiased execution across securitisation transactions.

MUFG Bank Entity Responsibilities

  • Support the origination and execution of esoteric securitisation transactions, including:
    • Data Centre Securitisations & other digital infrastructure assets
    • Solar financing
    • Sharia-compliant securitisations
    • IP royalties & emerging asset classes

MUFG Securities Entity Responsibilities

  • Support public and private ABS (Asset-Backed Securities) transactions in EMEA, including:
    • Private placements & public ABS structuring
    • Assistance to senior originators with a product-neutral approach

Key Responsibilities

MUFG Bank Role

  • Support transaction origination and closing (coordinating with Esoteric Sector Lead – Securitised Products) for:
    • Client, financial institution (FI) & corporate securitisation deals
    • Renewals, amendments & waivers
  • Prepare structural risk memoranda (credit papers) & cash flow models
  • Perform legal due diligence, market analysis & client relationship management (internal & external)
  • Lead or assist with deal closing processes
  • Maintain updated knowledge of regulatory developments in securitisation
  • Build cross-departmental networks for improved inter-departmental collaboration

MUFG Securities Role

  • Execute public & private securitisation transactions in EMEA
  • Assist senior originators in structuring deals neutrally

Personal Requirements

  • Education: Degree-level qualification required
  • Experience:
    • Proven EMEA securitisation experience (structuring/execution)
    • Background in securitisation, structured finance or working capital finance (bank, rating agency or advisory role preferred)
  • Desirable skills:
    • Legal, accounting, or credit analysis expertise
    • Strong problem-solving & negotiation abilities
    • Excellent networking & teamwork skills
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint proficiency
    • Fluency in European languages (not essential but beneficial)
  • Soft skills:
    • Commercial acumen
    • Conflict resolution capability
