nCino: Software Engineer Opportunity
nCino offers exciting career opportunities for individuals who want to join the worldwide leader in cloud banking. Supports software engineering team in designing, developing, and testing simple software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools. Works within team to support clients' project objectives.
Essential Functions:
- Actively implement software development principles and collaborate effectively with the team.
- Adhere to code standards and our development process while improving both coding skill and domain knowledge.
- Perform careful code reviews, seek help when needed, provide transparent status updates, and participate actively in team meetings.
- Gradually handle more complex tasks with input from experienced engineers and gaining independence.
- Demonstrate commitment to system hygiene by writing clean, maintainable code, automated testing, and adherence to coding standards.
- Gain a clear understanding of the defined software retirement process and adhere to it when necessary.
- Seek out mentorship to grow their own experience.
- Contribute to conversations based on organizational strategy and principles with their teammates when appropriate.
- Progressively handle more complex work.
- Demonstrated passion in growing technical expertise and understanding within product domain.
- Leverage AI tools and techniques throughout the software lifecycle to solve complex problems.
- Become familiar with AI development workflows to create valuable solutions for our customers.
- Apply AI insights to identify patterns, automate repetitive tasks, and improve overall development efficiency and product quality.
- Maintain awareness of emerging AI trends and best practices to inform continuous learning and innovation.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge in at least one programming language.
- General knowledge of software design principles and development tools.
- Dedication to quality and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Ability to learn quickly and work in a collaborative team environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Desired:
- Experience developing utilising the AWS toolkit.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps tools.
- Verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

The pay range for this role is based on relative market data and alignment with our compensation philosophy. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum of the pay range for each job posting, which is used to determine new hire rates/salaries and takes into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, abilities, proficiencies, experience, education, licensures/certifications, as well as business and organizational needs. nCino reserves the right to modify the posted range consistent with our internal practices and external market movement. The recruiter for this job posting can share more compensation details during the recruitment process, as base salary is only one component of the total compensation package per position posted.
The base salary range for this job is: £36,400.00 - £58,200.00
