We are working with a market-leading international law firm who are seeking a Solicitor or Associate Solicitor to join their Professional Indemnity team within their Edinburgh or Glasgow office.
The Role
The successful candidate will join an elite Insurance practice, focusing on construction-related professional indemnity claims. The candidate will work on some of the most complex and high-profile professional indemnity claims in the Scottish market, acting for a range of both construction professionals and UK and global insurers. The candidate’s duties will include assisting insurers with coverage issues under construction professional indemnity policies, drafting correspondence and pleadings, managing evidence, contributing to the resolution of disputes through ADR, and supporting clients with project issues.

The candidate will advise insurers on complex policy coverage issues arising from construction disputes. The candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to participate in business development initiatives while managing client relationships.
Essential Criteria
- 1+ PQE
- Strong background in professional indemnity and/or construction within a medium to large commercial law firm
- Excellent commercial awareness
- Outstanding academics
- Technically excellent
- Negotiation skills
- Willingness to become involved in business development
- Ability to work independently and as a team
