Associate, Strategy Consulting Do you want to be part of a growing, fast-paced strategy consulting team that helps insurers improve performance by shaping their strategy and bringing it to life? What the day will look like Work as part of a team that delivers high value strategy projects to insurers, reinsurers, and investors in the insurance industry on wide ranging strategic questions, including topics such as growth/commercial strategy, strategic operating models, digital and AI strategy, commercial due-diligence (CDD), and go-to-market (GTM) strategies. Undertake market research, financial and data analysis that informs the development of recommendations. Support team in developing hypotheses, testing those hypotheses, and developing high impact recommendations. Contribute to the production of high impact client deliverables. Present findings and recommendations to client partners. Actively contribute to both project teams and the broader team environment, bringing an entrepreneurial, “hands‑on” approach. The team provides Strategy Consulting and Advisory services to many of the most prestigious (re)insurance companies across the globe. We have privileged access to Aon’s proprietary data and the knowledge of its global network of insurance industry experts to derive unique and compelling insights into the sources of competitive advantage in our industry. Established in 2022, our STG consulting team has grown year on year. The Strategy Consulting team is primarily based in our offices in London, New York, Chicago, Singapore, Sydney, and Rotterdam. The role is based in London. We are enthusiastic adopters of hybrid working and flexible on day-to-day location. We continue to expand, and we are looking for the right candidate to support and participate in our success. A successful candidate will bring prior experience working in strategy roles, be able to operate at pace, and integrate quickly into a high‑performing team. Skills and experience that will lead to success Proven experience ideally within Strategy Consulting at a reputable Strategy-house or a boutique are advantageous (with insurance experience a bonus but not required), or from an Insurance Audit background (qualification either on track or in progress) Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with evidence of structured, strategic thinking. Experience producing high quality outputs in Excel and PowerPoint. Teammate, who can operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment and build strong relationships quickly. Business insight and intellectual curiosity across key business topics, including how (re)insurers grow, transform and improve performance across the insurance value chain. Commitment to personal development and to getting up the learning curve quickly where prior insurance experience is limited. Desire to contribute to the development of a growing, pure-play strategy consultancy business with an entrepreneurial culture, working across a broad range of (re)insurers in the market.
