A Chartered Structural Engineer at a senior level is sought to join this award-winning structural consultancy at their offices based in South West London. You will be taking a key role in the running and development of the projects, working alongside the Directors. You will be leading a team of engineers and technicians and taking responsibility for projects and clients.
The practice is well established and expanding due to its continually increasing workload. The firm works mainly in the high-end residential sector, both new build and refurbishment, often bespoke projects involving basement design and multi-storey schemes. Other projects include commercial schemes such as schools, data centres, public sector schemes, vertical extensions, re-cladding work. Projects normally range from £150,000 up to £10m. They also get involved in various temporary works design solutions.

This is an exciting time for a firm in its growth phase, and this position is for a candidate to play a key role in the development of the business. You must be a Chartered engineer with experience of working on a variety of building schemes and be technically excellent from a design point of view. Temporary works design experience would also be preferable and experience in the residential buildings sector is essential. Your role will include leading projects and design teams and mentoring graduates. You will need to be commercially astute.
Your duties will include hands-on design at concept level, surveys and reports, and also involvement in the financial side of things such as invoicing and pricing and managing projects from inception to completion. The company is financially sound and this is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate looking for responsibility and progression.
