The Opportunity
Jefferies is seeking an Associate to join its highly successful TMT Investment Banking team in London. This is an opportunity to work on high-profile, cross-border transactions and strategic advisory mandates, partnering closely with senior bankers and clients across the technology, media and telecommunications sectors.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the execution of M&A transactions, capital raising processes and strategic advisory assignments, while also supporting business development initiatives and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute M&A, strategic advisory and capital markets transactions across the TMT sector.
- Develop and review complex financial models, including valuation analyses, merger models, LBO analyses and operating models.
- Prepare high-quality client presentations, marketing materials, board presentations and transaction documentation.
- Conduct detailed industry, market and company-specific research and analysis.
- Coordinate due diligence processes and manage data requests across multiple stakeholders.
- Liaise directly with clients, sponsors, legal advisers, accountants and other transaction participants.
- Support senior bankers in originating new business opportunities and maintaining existing client relationships.
- Oversee and mentor Analysts, providing guidance on modelling, valuation and transaction execution.
- Take increasing ownership of workstreams and transaction processes while developing broader client management responsibilities.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- 3–6 years of relevant investment banking experience, ideally within M&A, technology investment banking or a related advisory environment.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities.
- Demonstrated transaction execution experience, including M&A and/or capital raising assignments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent academic achievement.

Experience advising founder-led businesses, growth companies and software-focused private equity investors.
