Job Description
We're looking for a social housing litigation case handler to work closely with some of the firm’s largest clients, provide excellent advice, and develop their career.
The role
You’ll join a thriving and fast-growing part of our business, with opportunities to shape the development of the team, grow our client base and make a real difference for our social housing clients. This role is within the technical claims team in our Nottingham office and involves assisting a Partner/Senior Associate with high-value/technically challenging social housing claims.
What You'll Be Doing
- Running your own caseload to include a variety of housing disrepair, statutory nuisance claims, anti-social behaviour claims and injunctions, possession proceedings and housing-related personal injury claims.
- Assisting in preparation for hearings (i.e. collating relevant evidence and obtaining statements, preparing bundles etc.)
- Investigating and analysis of claims, with a conscious concern for quality
What We're Looking For
- Civil litigation case handling experience in a social housing context
- Experience in dealing with the claims handling (pre-litigation) aspects of a file as well as being able to progress a claim through the litigation process
- Effective communicator, able to establish and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues
