Associate Technical Director

The Studio

We are a video game development studio with offices in:

  • Guildford, UK
  • Utrecht, Netherlands

Sitting within the heart of thriving communities of game developers and publishers, we focus on quality and excellence, and our players and partners are always at the front of everything we do.

Games are not just about gameplay. We believe in balancing every aspect players interact with: what they see, how they play, and how it makes them feel.

It couldn't be a more exciting time to join us on our new, unannounced game, where we are pushing both player experience and quality in creating this AAA experience.

The Role

As an Associate Technical Director, you’ll partner closely with our Technical Director to:

  • Lead and shape the technical direction of our new project
  • Oversee key technical aspects of game development
  • Mentor and manage a team of engineers
  • Ensure the game meets its technical goals
  • Push technical boundaries where possible

You’ll work across all departments—art, design, production—and with external clients, bridging the gap between creative vision and technical execution.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
