Role Overview

As an Associate Technician, you will play a key role in the assembly and fabrication of sub-components that contribute to our final product builds. This hands-on role requires strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical procedures in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities may evolve based on business needs and include, but are not limited to:

  • Execute device fabrication processes, including glass cleaning, laser processing, and optoelectronic testing in glovebox environments.
  • Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), including:
    • Accurate execution of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Supporting preventive maintenance of tools and equipment.
    • Inventory tracking and reordering of materials and consumables.
    • Following laboratory procedures covering environmental and safety regulations.
    • Ensuring shared work areas are kept clean and tidy, and returning tools and materials to their designated storage areas at the end of each day.
  • Support the wider technical team with both routine and bespoke tasks.
  • Follow production schedules, report progress, and escalate delays to the line manager.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving quality issues internally and in collaboration with external suppliers.
  • Collaborate on special projects and/or time-sensitive activities to meet critical milestones.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
