Associate Veterinarian at 6 Doctor Practice!! Mountain View Animal Hospital
Urgent Care Veterinarian – Mountain View Veterinary Hospital
Are you a veterinarian who enjoys the pace, variety, and clinical challenge of urgent care medicine? Do you like problem-solving in real time and having the support, tools, and team to handle cases in-house? Mountain View Veterinary Hospital in Lacey, Washington, is seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian to join our well-established, 6-doctor, AAHA-accredited practice.
This role is primarily focused on urgent care, though we are absolutely open to candidates interested in a mix of General Practice and Urgent Care, depending on comfort level and professional interests. Whether you’re an experienced urgent care doctor or a GP looking to expand into more advanced, same-day cases with strong support, this is a great opportunity to practice meaningful medicine without unnecessary referrals.
Why This Role Is a Great Fit for You
Urgent Care with Real Clinical Depth
Our hospital has the capability to manage a wide range of urgent and emergent cases in-house, and we generally do not refer many cases out to ER. Our team is comfortable handling advanced procedures such as GDVs, splenectomies, C-sections, blood transfusions, and more. Case involvement is always based on the individual DVM’s comfort level, and collaboration is readily available.
Historically, we have treated many emergent cases that local ERs previously managed, and our team is well-equipped to continue doing so.
Common Urgent Care Cases You’ll See
Typical urgent care presentations include ear infections, vomiting, inappetence, lameness, diarrhea, skin conditions, ADRs, and toxicity cases, along with higher-acuity presentations when appropriate.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
