Metis Search are partnering with a leading bulge-bracket investment bank seeking several hires at the Senior Analyst – VP2 level.
About the Role
This opportunity is to join a well-established investment banking platform, specialising in Buy-and-Sell-side M&A, Strategic Advisory, and Capital Markets transactions across the UK and Europe.
The team thrives in an agile, execution-driven environment, with significant responsibility, stakeholder interaction, high deal exposure, and a clear career progression path.
The role will include a strong mix of Strategic and Sponsor-driven M&A transactions.

Key Responsibilities
- Support sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions in Consumer, Retail & Leisure, including investment case development and financial analysis.
- Construct financial models & valuations (DCF, LBO, comparable methods).
- Produce high-impact client presentations, information memoranda, and marketing materials.
- Build relationships with management teams, advisors, and investors to enhance origination efforts.
- Collaborate closely with senior bankers on strategic advisory & transaction execution, contributing to structuring, negotiation, and deal closing.
- Manage cross-functional workstreams, delivering outputs collaboratively with the team.
Candidate Requirements
✅ 2 to 8 years’ experience in:
- Investment banking
- Private equity
- Corporate finance

⏱ Preferred but not essential:
- Sector exposure to Consumer and Retail
🔹 Essential:
- Proven end-to-end M&A experience
- Strong technical excellence in financial modeling & valuation
💼 Big 4 candidates with lead advisory experience also considered
📈 Must demonstrate:
- Ability to run workstreams independently
- Commercially savvy, resourceful, proficient in small-team environments
🗣 Communication skills:
- Clear, confident presenter
- Fluent in English (additional European languages helpful but not mandatory)
