About the Role
The Visuals Producer will play a key role in the Communications Department, reporting to the Head of Multimedia Production. Based in London, UK, the successful candidate will lead the production of innovative multimedia content for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), shaping a team that delivers high-impact visual storytelling across short documentaries, Instagram Reels, and beyond.
The Communications Department drives the Bank’s brand and mission through external and internal audiences, and this position is essential in producing content that highlights EBRD’s positive impact in investment regions.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
The Visuals Producer will have significant managerial and creative autonomy, overseeing team workflows while producing high-quality content. Key responsibilities include:
- Creative leadership: Define and implement the visual team’s production approach, shaping everything from documentaries to social media content.
- Content production: Create videos and photography to boost external and internal engagement, showcasing EBRD’s work.
- Event support: Actively participate in high-profile event planning, including the Annual Meeting.
- Strategic execution: Oversee key initiatives aligned with the Communications Strategic Plan.
- Multimedia projects: Deliver innovative visual formats across digital and traditional media channels.
- Team mentorship: Guide and advise junior team members to ensure content aligns with high standards.
- Representation & backup: Deputise for the Head of Multimedia Production as needed.
- Asset management: Maintain video and image libraries.
- On-location work: Shoot video and photography when required.
- Photo leadership: Ensure the Bank’s photography is aligned with communications goals.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential
- At least 5 years as a video producer in communications, TV, digital, or production industries.
- Track record demonstrating innovative, engaging video production.
- Strong understanding of what makes compelling video content (editors, pacing, storytelling).
- Self-shooting and editing capabilities (proficiency in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
- Editorial excellence and rush editing skills—turning around content quickly (often within 24 hours).
- Regional insight: Knowledge of EBRD’s areas of investment, including political and socio-economic contexts.
- Multi-platform experience: Digital platforms (social media, websites) and traditional media (TV, press releases).
- Strategic communication: Ability to tailor messages to different audiences and channels.
- Team management: Experience mentoring junior staff and leading projects with strong interpersonal skills.
- Technical proficiency: Strong use of smarthphone shooting (vertical/horizontal), editing software, and infographic creation for videos.
- Resourcefulness: Ability to repurpose existing assets (vidlibs, images) for new formats/clips.
- Project management: Organisation, prioritisation, and adaptability under tight deadlines or shifting priorities.
- Storytelling & impact: Expertise in identifying compelling narratives for multimedia storytelling.
- Intranet/Own Webb: Ability to update relevant EBRD guidelines and multimedia policies.
