Responsibilities:
- Undertake risk assessments including fire and health and safety, ensuring the fee earning target is met.
- Undertake various fire, health and safety assignments within your competency.
- Deliver client reports within the agreed SLA, in accordance with a forensic and pragmatic approach to ensure the Ark ‘Gold Standard’ is achieved.
- Design health and safety site management systems where required, specific to client requirements.
- Undertake onsite briefings and advise on risk management improvements.
- Work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with other consultants to ensure we are constantly sharing knowledge across the team.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of controlling risks, compliances etc. in relation to our online management system QUOODA®
The ideal candidate will have:

- At least 3+ years’ fire, health & safety risk assessment experience within the built environment in residential and/or commercial buildings
- Good working knowledge of Approved Document B
- Good working knowledge of BS 9999 / 9997
- Education suitable to be competent to carry out Fire and Health & Safety risk assessments on seven or more floors
- The ability to undertake Fire Risk Assessments and General Risk Assessments at the same time
- Articulate and clear communicators and report writing abilities as well as a comprehensive understanding of current UK regulations
Qualifications
- Must have NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety or equivalent as minimum.
- Fire Safety Qualifications of a minimum of a level 3
- Recognised fire safety memberships e.g. AIFireE, MIFireE, GIFireE, MIFSM or MIFPO (ADVANTAGEOUS)
Practical Requirements:
- Ability to facilitate hybrid working with home office that is suitable for connectivity to the office and clients, a safe and productive place to work conducive for delivering daily duties.
