Your new company
You will work for a leading consultancy that specialise in project management across the Midlands. They have offices across the Midlands, and specialise in the private sector, across commercial and development projects. They have been market leaders in this market for over 20 years.
Your new role
The successful candidate will lead the Project Management team, applying strong technical expertise, commercial understanding and effective people-management skills to guide the department's performance. They will provide clear leadership, ensuring the team delivers high-quality outcomes and maintains strong professional standards across all projects.
A key responsibility will be supporting senior leadership in managing the current project workload, enabling a seamless transition of client relationships over the next 12 months. The individual will work collaboratively to uphold delivery excellence and ensure continuity for all stakeholders involved.
They will also be instrumental in developing and diversifying the client portfolio, identifying opportunities to broaden the organisation's market reach and strengthen its service offering. As the team expands, they will recruit, mentor and develop new team members, fostering a positive environment where people can grow and contribute to the company's long-term ambitions.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Operations or Project Management Director from a property and construction consultancy background, bringing a strong blend of sector knowledge, leadership capability and delivery excellence. They will have a proven track record of managing teams to achieve meaningful business outcomes, consistently demonstrating the ability to inspire confidence and maintain high professional standards.
They will be recognised as a Project Management specialist with experience delivering private-sector schemes, gaining the respect of peers and clients alike through the quality of their work. A key strength will be their focus on building long-term client relationships, generating repeat business through trust, reliability and a commitment to outstanding service.
They will bring demonstrable experience in developing strategy and business plans, supported by a thorough understanding of the consultancy sector and the market forces that may influence the organisation. Strong organisational and leadership skills will be essential, alongside excellent interpersonal and presentation abilities. Finally, the successful candidate will possess outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities, enabling them to navigate complexity, make informed decisions and contribute to the long-term success of the business.
