Join Tetra Tech as a Chartered Structural Engineer

Apply your expertise to technically demanding nuclear projects that require precision, compliance, and engineering excellence. This role is designed for an experienced professional who enjoys solving complex problems and delivering high-quality structural design within a highly regulated environment. If you thrive on technical challenges and want to focus on engineering quality rather than people management, this position offers the ideal platform.

Purpose & Scope of the Role

This role focuses on delivering technically robust structural engineering solutions within the nuclear sector. Working as part of multidisciplinary teams, you will provide specialist design, analysis, and assurance across projects from early concept through to detailed design and implementation. You will act as a technical authority within project teams, ensuring designs meet nuclear, industry, and statutory standards while supporting safe and compliant project delivery. The position is centered on hands-on engineering expertise, allowing you to concentrate on complex technical work, independent verification activities, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance.

Your Impact in this Position

Your expertise will play a critical role in enabling safe and reliable nuclear infrastructure. By delivering technically sound design and analysis, contributing to safety case development, and supporting robust engineering decision-making, you will help ensure projects meet the demanding expectations of the nuclear industry. Your input will support multidisciplinary collaboration, strengthen technical assurance processes, and contribute to the successful delivery of projects that operate within strict regulatory frameworks.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
