Associate or Senior Associate (4+ PQE) – Litigation, Regulatory & Compliance (Leeds)
We’re seeking commercially astute and ambitious litigators to join our growing Litigation, Regulatory & Compliance team.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an Associate or Senior Associate (4+ PQE) to work alongside leading practitioners on complex, high-value commercial and financial services disputes, delivering innovative solutions in a supportive, collaborative environment.
You’ll be part of a nationally recognised team advising a diverse client base—ranging from FTSE listed companies and global brands to fast-growing *start-ups—on a wide range of contentious matters. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:
- Financial Services disputes
- Acting for large corporates on complex, high-value, and reputationally significant commercial disputes
Our Litigation, Regulatory & Compliance (LRC) team operates across all UK jurisdictions and handles both domestic and international litigation and arbitration matters. You will advise on:
- Court proceedings
- Arbitration
- Alternative dispute resolution (ADR)
- Issues spanning financial services, technology, automotive, manufacturing, and more
Collaboration is key—you’ll work closely with specialists in insurance, competition, regulatory investigations, and other contentious niches to deliver bespoke solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead on complex, high-value commercial and financial services disputes, managing every stage from thorough case analysis to strategic negotiations and litigation execution.
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with diverse client bases, demonstrating commercial acumen and creative problem-solving.
- Contribute to business development efforts within the team, identifying opportunities to grow the firm’s dispute resolution and litigation capabilities.
- Provide expert advice on high-stakes matters, blending legal expertise with a deep understanding of business risks.
- Collaborate seamlessly with cross-team specialists to ensure unified, effective advocacy.

Requirements
- Strong grounding in commercial litigation and/or financial services disputes.
- Proven experience in managing complex, high-stakes matters, with a successful track record in leading disputes from inception to resolution.
- Expertise in engaging with and advising large corporates, financial institutions, or risk management teams.
- Ability to build trusted client relationships, combined with commercial-savvy litigation skills.
- Collaborative mindset, personal resilience, and a proactive approach to business development.
