Associate Software Engineer – The Role
What You’ll Do
As an Associate, you’ll:
- Hit the ground running: Contribute to real product features in your first weeks, under mentorship and ownership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with engineers, analysts, and clinical/ops teams to solve challenges that improve lives—from streamlining clinic workflows to enhancing partner support.
Core Responsibilities:
- Build, test, and deploy: Create and improve directly user-facing features alongside senior engineers.
- Write clean code: Adhere to Healios’ standards for readability, maintainability, and robustness, with automation (RSpec).
- Own end-to-end tasks: Own small slices of work (e.g. bug fixes, new components) from start to finish.
- Grow through mentorship: Strengthen your full-stack fundamentals, architecture understanding, and decision-making.
- Grow as a prosecutor: Engage in code reviews, pairing, and peer feedback to improve iteratively.
- Communicate clearly: Progress updates will be asynchronous, with timely check-ins.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
