Asst. Workshop Manager
Client:
We are looking for an Assistant Workshop Manager to come and join our growing business at our Head Office near Ulverston.
You will work closely with the Workshop Manager, ensuring that operations run smoothly within the Workshop. It is envisaged that this role will be appropriately 70% office based, working to develop and maintain systems, in conjunction with other departments, to further improve performance.
Main Roles And Responsibilities
- People management activities, including the management of absence.
- Providing support for implementation of safety initiatives and procedures.
- Oversee production schedule on the shop floor
- Root cause NCRs and assist in implementing corrective actions
- Ensuring accurate material usage monitoring.
- Ensuring workshop systems and procedures adhered to.
- Co-ordinating requests for equipment service and maintenance.

The Candidate
- You should have a background in the steel fabrication industry.
- Have a detailed knowledge of steel product grades.
- Experience of working to ISO9001 quality systems and EN1090 structural steel requirements.
- Be fully proficient with Microsoft office

Terms And Conditions
- Standard working week will be 40 hours per week Monday to Friday with occasional weekends.
- Salary 30k+ per annum dependant on experience with future opportunity for promotion.
