Atlassian Support Analyst
Location: Glasgow, UK (Remote – Possible International Travel Required)
Purpose of the Role
As part of Weir’s adoption of the Product Operating Model (POM) and Agile ways of working, the role of Atlassian Support Analyst is critical. This position ensures the Atlassian toolset (Jira, Jira Align, Confluence, and Atlassian Analytics) is configured, supported, and continuously improved to enable consistent, transparent, and data-driven delivery across the enterprise.
Working within the Transformation Programme team and closely aligned with the PMO, the role will focus on ensuring tooling supports:
- Governance
- Portfolio reporting
- End-to-end visibility
- Strategic planning through execution While cultivating a high-quality user experience for a growing global workforce, including those involved in the S/4HANA transformation.

Key Responsibilities
1. Tooling Configuration & Strategic Alignment
- Configure and optimise Jira, Jira Align, and Confluence to align work flow across the portfolio while tracking objectives, epics, capabilities, and delivery.
- Enable full integration of S4+ programme delivery into the portfolio, ensuring traceability from objectives to execution.
- Design, maintain, and improve workflows, hierarchies, and data models for:
- Portfolio governance
- Reporting capabilities
- Decision-making
- Support Atlassian tooling standardisation across domains (Minerals, ESCO, Corporate).

2. Portfolio & Governance Enablement
- Supply operations for:
- PMO governance processes (e.g., portfolio reviews, PPQR, QBR, operations reviews) using the Atlassian tools.
- Executive-level reports (aligning programs with Jira Align).
- Maintain consistent data structures and reporting standards to enhance insights.
- Lead improvements in data quality, completeness, and hygiene within Jira Align and Jira.
3. System Administration & Continuous Improvement
- Day-to-day system administration for the Atlassian Suite, including:
- User management
- Permissions
- System maintenance
- Continuously identify and implement enhancements to improve tools in:
- Performance
- Usability
- Scalability
- Support integrations between Atlassian tools and other enterprise systems as required.
4. User Support & Enablement
- Act as the primary Atlassian support contact, offering:
- Hands-on issue resolution
- Continuous guidance for users
- Develop, maintain, and disseminate:
- User documentation
- Training resources
- Best practice guides
- Deliver training sessions to strengthen adoption of:
- Agile practices
- Standard tooling usage
5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with:
- PMO team
- S4 Programmes & Business Stakeholders
- Ensure telcoing meets evolving programme and portfolio needs.
- Facilitate cross-functional visibility of:
- Dependencies
- Risks
- Programme progress

Requirements
Education and Qualifications
- Proven administrative experience with the Atlassian Toolset (Jira, Jira Align, Confluence, Atlassian Analytics) in an enterprise-scale environment.
- Strong comprehension of Agile delivery frameworks (e.g. SAFe) and portfolio-level planning.
- Experience configuring tools for portfolio management, governance, and reporting.
- Familiarity with large-scale transformation programs, preferably including ERP/SAP S/4HANA environments.
- A analytical mindset, with a commitment to:
- Data quality standards
- Improvement of reporting accuracy
Essential Skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into practical tooling solutions.
- Excellent communication abilities, catering for a global and diverse user base.
