Role: Atlassian Technical Engineer

Clearance: BPSS clearance, SC eligible, UK National (no dual nationalities)

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Location: Hybrid 2 days onsite Midlands UK

Our client is seeking an experienced Atlassian Technical Engineer to join a dynamic team for a 6-month project. This role involves ensuring the optimal configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of Atlassian tools to meet organisational and client needs. You will work on Atlassian solutions, Marketplace apps, and supporting technologies, delivering impactful business solutions.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing Atlassian applications including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo
  • Upgrading, migrating, and consolidating Atlassian instances
  • Performing technical assessments and health checks
  • Configuring Jira Service Management, including queues, SLAs, and automation
  • Developing integrations via API and scripting for CI/CD automation
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to define workflows, custom fields, and dashboards
  • Providing technical guidance and support across teams

What You'll Bring

  • 3-5 years hands-on experience with Atlassian solution delivery and application engineering
  • Proven expertise in Jira, Confluence, and Atlassian marketplace tools
  • Atlassian technical migration certifications and accreditation
  • Strong knowledge of Atlassian administration, including Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with Bitbucket, Bamboo, and Jira Service Management configuration
  • API, scripting, and CI/CD automation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and ITIL frameworks
