Attendance and Inclusion Officer (The Eastbourne Academy)

The dedicated Attendance Officer posts at Eastbourne Academy holds the following key responsibilities:


Overview of the Role


Hours of Work

  • 37 hours/week
  • Full-time, term-time only
  • Includes 5 Staff Development Days per term

Salary Range

  • £32,065 - £33,934 (FTE – SAT E grade)
  • Pro rata equivalent: £27,702 – £29,317
  • ** Employment Start**: September 2026

About the Role

The Attendance Officer will play a crucial role in improving student attendance, ensuring punctuality, supporting families in need, and fostering equal access to education.

Key Objectives:

  • Improve comprehensive attendance tracking and reporting.
  • Provide tailored, compassionate support for families and students to remove barriers to education.
  • Work in collaboration with school leadership and external partners to tackle persistent absenteeism.

About The Eastbourne Academy

The Academy prioritises safeguarding, expecting all staff to uphold child welfare standards. All posts require an enhanced DBS (formerly known as CRB) check, per statutory guidelines.
