About the Role
Cavendish Education Trust - Cavendish Secondary School is seeking a compassionate and organised individual to take on the role of Attendance and Medical Assistant.
Hours & Contract Type
- Full-time, 37 hours per week
- Term-time only (including INSET days) + 1 week during school holidays
- Permanent contract
- Salaries: Single Status Grade 4, Points 9-10: £25,185 - £25,583propyl annual Actual salary: £22,315 - £22,668
- Start date: September 2026

Key Responsibilities
As our Attendance and Medical Assistant, you will work within the secondary phase, responsible for ensuring the health, well-being, and punctuality of students. Core duties include:

- Serving as the first point of contact for injuries, illnesses, and medical concerns.
- Administering first aid, dispensing medicines, and maintaining accurate medical records.
- Systematically monitoring daily attendance and punctuality, identifying absence patterns.
- Communicating with parents/carers to address attendance queries promptly.
Person Specification
We are looking for someone who is: ✅ Highly organised and patient; ✅ Excels at communication (including managing sensitive conversations); ✅ Passionate about supporting well-being and attendance from a holistic perspective.
