Attendance and Medical Assistant (Cavendish Education Trust - Cavendish Secondary School)

ATTENDANCE AND MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Permanent Contract Full-time, 37 hours per week Term-time only (including INSET days) + 1 week during school holidays

Salary: Single Status Grade 4, Points 9-10 £25,185 – £25,583 (pro rata, with actual salary being £22,315 – £22,668)

About the Role

Cavendish School is seeking a compassionate and organised individual to serve as Attendance and Medical Assistant, based in their secondary phase within a lively, busy school environment.

You will collaborate with teaching teams and cater to pupils’ health and well-being, while promoting positive attitudes towards attendance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for incidents involving injuries, illnesses, and medical conditions
  • Administer first aid and medicines, maintaining accurate, up-to-date medical records
  • Monitor daily pupil attendance and punctuality, tracking absence patterns
  • Engage quickly with parents/carers to address and resolve attendance-related queries
