About The Role

We are seeking a committed and proactive Attendance & Safeguarding Officer to join Trinity Academy. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and motivated individual to play a key role in promoting strong attendance, supporting student wellbeing, and contributing to a safe and supportive school environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and improving student attendance, working closely with staff, students, families, and external agencies to address barriers and ensure all students are fully engaged in their education. Alongside this, you will support the Academy’s safeguarding provision, helping to maintain a culture where student safety and welfare are paramount. You will contribute to effective safeguarding practices, accurate record keeping, and timely responses to concerns, ensuring that all students are supported to achieve their full potential.

The Successful Applicant Will Have

  • Experience of working within a school or educational setting, with a strong understanding of attendance and safeguarding processes (desirable)
  • A genuine commitment to providing the best possible opportunities for all pupils, supporting their wellbeing, engagement, and success
  • Experience of working directly with students and parents/carers, and collaborating effectively with colleagues and external agencies
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret attendance and safeguarding data, produce reports, and identify key trends and interventions
  • Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive and professional relationships
  • Knowledge of strategies and interventions to improve attendance and address barriers to engagement
  • Highly organised, proactive, and self-motivated, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
  • Ability to work under pressure, remain calm in challenging situations, and prioritise workload efficiently
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring all students feel safe, supported, and valued
  • An unwavering belief in the power of education to transform lives, in line with our trust’s motto, libertas per cultum (freedom through education)

Who We Are

Trinity Academy, as part of the outstanding Future Academies Trust, provides a traditional and aspirational academic curriculum and a fully-rounded education for students aged 11-18. Based in Brixton, South London, we have a diverse catchment area with excellent transport links.
