Attendance Officer and Administrator
Attendance Officer and Administrator – Permanent (Term Time + 2 Weeks, 37 Hours/Week)
Location: Attleborough, Norfolk Salary: £25,224 to £27,856 per year (Scale 12 to 17) Vacancy Type: Permanent (Monday to Friday)
About the Role
We are seeking an hardworking and enthusiastic professional with high standards to join us as our Attendance Officer and Administrator. This role will involve supporting the Student Support Team to ensure the effective administration of student welfare, behaviour, wellbeing, and attendance concerns.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be an active member of the Student Support Team, maximising administrative efficiency.
- Support students with diverse needs, including those with behavioural, emotional, and attendance challenges.
- Act as a calm, professional, and supportive point of contact for parents, carers, and students.
- Work collaboratively as part of a close-knit, effective team committed to improving students’ academic and personal success.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively support student progress through attention to attendance, behaviour, and wellbeing.
- Manage administrative duties to enhance student support mechanisms.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and staff in sensitive situations.
- Prioritise workloads to deliver excellent service under pressure.
- Operate with flexibility, empathy, and resilience when dealing with challenging scenarios.
- Contribute to a positive Academy culture aligned with the CARE values (Commitment, Acknowledgement, Respect, and Excellence).

Person Specification
- A calm and empathetic demeanour, with the ability to build trust with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with young people, particularly those who may present challenges.
- Excellent time management and the ability to multitask efficiently.
- Experience in an educational or welfare-supporting environment is preferable but not essential.
- Discretion, integrity, and professional conduct in all interactions.
