Contract: AV Engineer
Start Date: ASAP (after background check completion)

Rate: £295-£305 a day (deemed inside IR35 via umbrella solution)

Experienced AudioVisual AV Engineer to support our client with a new office build, delivering audio visual, unified communications, and telephony infrastructure across meeting rooms, boardrooms, and collaboration spaces. You will have hands-on experience installing, configuring, and supporting AV/UC systems in large enterprise client environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and commission AV equipment across meeting rooms, boardrooms, and collaboration spaces as part of a new office build
- First and second fix AV cabling, including HDMI, network, and speaker cabling, in line with structured cabling standards
- Mount, align, and configure displays, projectors, screens, cameras, microphones, and speakers
- Deploy and configure video conferencing platforms, including Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms, and telephony/UC endpoints
- Test and calibrate room systems end-to-end, ensuring audio, video, and control systems function reliably
- Configure and support AV control systems and room scheduling panels
- Work closely with project managers, electricians, and other trades to deliver AV works to programme
- Provide day one and post-installation support, troubleshooting AV, telephony, and UC issues
- Produce and maintain as-built documentation, including cabling schedules and room configurations

Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as an AV Engineer, including new office build or fit-out projects
- Hands-on experience with structured cabling, including containment, first fix, and second fix AV/data cabling
- Strong working knowledge of boardroom and meeting room AV systems (displays, projectors, cameras, microphones, speakers, DSPs)
- Experience configuring and supporting Zoom Rooms and/or Microsoft Teams Rooms
- Familiarity with telephony and UC platforms (e.g. Zoom Phone, Teams Calling, Cisco/Poly endpoints)
- Understanding of AV control systems (e.g. Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS)
- Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, VLANs, PoE) as it relates to AV device connectivity
- Comfortable working from technical drawings, cabling schedules, and room layout designs
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work on-site during a live office build programme
