Audio Visual Specialist - Permanent - London

An opportunity has arisen for an Audio Visual Specialist to join a London-based law firm on a permanent basis. This office-based role is focused on delivering reliable audio-visual and meeting room technology support, ensuring seamless hybrid meetings, presentations, hearings and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support for the firm's AV estate, including meeting rooms, client-facing spaces and collaboration areas.
  • Support Microsoft Teams Rooms, displays, cameras, microphones, control systems and wireless presentation technology.
  • Perform room readiness checks, preventative maintenance, firmware updates and approved system upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot AV, hybrid meeting, presentation, audio, video, screen sharing and connectivity issues, escalating where required.
  • Deliver first-line support for meeting room technology, including laptop connectivity, docking, Wi-Fi, display output and audio device issues.
  • Support internal and client-facing events, webinars, presentations and live meetings, including operating room technology where required.
  • Maintain AV documentation, asset registers, system diagrams and user guides.
  • Liaise with third-party AV vendors and support lifecycle planning, equipment replacement and continuous service improvements.
  • Work closely with IT and Facilities teams to maintain meeting room standards and ensure accessibility features remain operational.

  • Proven experience supporting enterprise AV systems within a professional environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with at least two of the following: Microsoft Teams Rooms, Q-SYS, Crestron, Shure or Sennheiser technologies.
  • Experience supporting hybrid meeting environments, conference room technology and live events.
  • First-line IT support experience, particularly relating to laptops, connectivity and meeting room technology.
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to support non-technical users and senior stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently, prioritise effectively and remain calm under pressure.
  • Experience within legal, professional services or other client-facing environments is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with AV-over-IP environments and remote monitoring tools is beneficial.
  • Relevant certifications such as CTS, Q-SYS or Crestron are desirable.
