Junior AV Systems Technician (Remote Assistance) – UK

This remote assistance position will support our customers in the UK, collaborating directly with management and staff to provide post-integration and installation assistance for conference room AV systems. You will assist customers in the EMEA and APAC regions, depending on availability, while working closely with the U.S.-based team in Indianapolis, IN, where many client offices are located.
Responsibilities
- Provide remote assistance and training to end users on operating AV systems and user controls.
- Conduct routine remote maintenance and troubleshooting for AV systems, including:
- Testing, diagnosing, and diagnosing issues with projectors, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, LCD/LED/Plasma displays.
- Performing preventative maintenance and escalating unresolved issues to the appropriate vendor or manufacturer.
- Ensure daily functionality tests for all AV and integrated conference rooms.
- Troubleshoot AV and connectivity problems last-minute and in non-critical situations.
- Assist in company meetings, functions, or webcasts requiring AV infrastructure (e.g., audio-video conferencing, video projection, Crestron/AMX control systems).
- Engage with client customer support ticketing systems to manage end-user requests.
- Collaborate with client staff to determine basic AV infrastructure requirements for new conference rooms or media designs.
- Escalate "next-level" technical issues to your manager for resolution.
- Carry out remote testing for regional and local offices as needed.

Requirements & Key Skills
Education & Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
Technical & Operational Skills
- Proficient knowledge of:
- Logitech, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Rally Cameras, and Intel Unite.
- Crestron Toolbox (with preference for Crestron Remote and Windows 10 RDP experience).
- Basic familiarity with MS Intune and Microsoft Teams Admin Center (a plus).
- Knowledge of audio-video signal flow.
- Experience with AV control systems, including:
- Crestron, Extron, and/or AMX control systems.
- Basic AV installation and *troubleshooting.
- Videoconferencing experience, including daily setup and operation (e.g., WebEx, Cisco Meeting Room Systems).
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues via distance support (remote desktop luck, troubleshooting tools).
Soft Skills & Competencies
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic reasoning for rapid troubleshooting.
- Exceptional computer literacy, with hands-on skills in basic IT tools.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and client support skills (written and verbal).
- High attention to detail and problem resolution when remote.
- Customer service orientation, prioritising end-user satisfaction.
