Job Description
- Position: Audiology Degree Apprenticeship (BSc (Hons), tuition fee free)
- Salary: £25,272 per annum (NHS Band 2)
- Hours per Week: 37.5
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Duration: 4 years
- Outcome: Guaranteed NHS Band 5 position upon graduation

Key Responsibilities
As the successful applicant, you will:
- Gain foundational audiology skills, progressing to:
- Assessment and fitting of hearing aids
- Conducting patient consultations
- Delivering audiological interventions in outpatient clinics (under supervision before developing independence)
- Study at university while working clinically within our Audiology department
- Attend residential courses (funded by the Trust)
- Develop competence across areas such as paediatrics, vestibular rehabilitation, and tinnitus management
- Become an autonomous clinician after qualifying
Progression & Career Development The trust offers varied work in paediatric audiology, vestibular testing, and tinnitus support. Upon completion, you’ll receive a guaranteed Band 5 post in our Audiology department.
Requirements
Academic Entry Criteria
An enthusiastic applicant must have:
- Two A Levels (or equivalent)
- One of which must be a science subject (preference given to Biology)
- GCSE Maths and English:
- At least a Grade 4 (C) or above
