Primary Purpose of Role The Manager is responsible for the delivery of client service to the expected standards on behalf of the partners. The role will provide direction to more junior members of the team as well as ensure succession planning is in place for the teams.
Key Duties: Management of a portfolio of accounts and audit clients for partners. To include: Liasing with clients to plan arrangements and timings for audit and accounts engagements. Review of draft financial statements for accounts clients with notes and commentary for partner meeting. Review of audit files and financial statements for audit clients with notes and commentary for RI review. Ensuring timely completion and filing of year-end financial statements for all clients. Ensuring timely completion and filing of company tax returns within portfolio. Raising bills on portfolio of clients. Maintaining excellent client relationship within portfolio, responding promptly to client requests. Co-ordinate advisory and administrative work (tax, management consultancy, business advisory, etc) for clients. Improving performance of portfolio against department KPIs. Assistance in the development of Corporate business stream members. Spending time with associates in training, giving appropriate feedback and liaising with line managers on performance of trainees. Provide assistance on the management of junior members of the team, from graduates to qualified seniors. Ensure that motivation is maintained to deliver a high standard of work to the client. Keep development plans in place through regular use of the appraisal process. Promoting diversity and equality within teams
