Audit & Accounts Senior
Salary: Up to £45,000
Working Arrangements: Full Time | Hybrid Working + Flexi-Time
Location: Witham
Role Description
I’m working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Witham that is looking to appoint an Audit & Accounts Senior to support the continued growth of their audit team.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a varied client portfolio, lead assignments and play an active role in mentoring junior staff members. You’ll gain exposure to a broad range of clients while working closely with Managers and Partners on both audit and accounts engagements.

What you’ll do
- Manage audit and accounts assignments from planning through to completion.
- Prepare and review statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP requirements.
- Undertake complex audit testing and ensure sufficient audit evidence is obtained.
- Prepare and review management accounts and corporation tax computations.
- Review the work of trainees and junior staff members, providing feedback and support.
- Identify areas for improvement within client accounting systems and processes.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication.
- Ensure assignments are completed efficiently and within deadlines.

What you’ll need
- ACA or ACCA qualified or finalist level
- At least 4 years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice
- Strong knowledge of audit and accounting standards
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
