Audit & Accounts Senior
Salary: £38,000 - £45,000
Working Arrangements: Full Time (35 Hours) | Hybrid Working + Flexi Hours
Location: Lowestoft
Role Description
A well-regarded accountancy practice in Lowestoft is looking for an Audit & Accounts Senior to join their team. This role offers a varied workload with an audit focus (approximately 60–70%), working with a diverse portfolio of clients including charities, oil & gas, retail, and manufacturing businesses.
You will lead audit assignments from planning through to completion, while also supporting accounts preparation and playing a key role in mentoring junior staff. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a clear and structured route to Audit Manager within a supportive and relaxed working environment.

What you’ll do
- Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion
- Undertake audit fieldwork, primarily office-based with some local client visits
- Prepare statutory accounts for a range of clients
- Work with a varied client base including charities and commercial businesses
- Review and delegate work to junior staff where appropriate
- Support and mentor trainees within the team

What you’ll need
- ACA / ACCA part-qualified or qualified (qualified by experience considered)
- Experience within a UK accountancy practice
- Strong audit experience and understanding of the full audit cycle
- Experience of reviewing or delegating work is advantageous
- Good communication skills and ability to work with clients directly
