About the Role
We are recruiting for a Senior Audit and Accounts position with a reputable, expanding accountancy practice located just outside Maidenhead.
This fast-growing, professional firm is constantly attract new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will bring qualified accountancy credentials (ACA or ACCA), along with significant audit and accounts experience, to help drive its success.
As part of a dynamic team, the Audit & Accounts Senior will perform comprehensive audit work from planning right through to completion. You’ll also contribute to accounts preparation and offer key account support—helping clients tackle tax matters, ensuring deadlines are met, and delivering reliable financial solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Planning, conducting and completing audit assignments end-to-end
- Preparation of client accounts ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Carrying out tax-related work, including personal and corporate taxation
- Assessing client needs and proactively offering tailored financial solutions
- Delivering high-quality work within deadlines, budgets, and regulatory requirements
- Reviewing, researching, and interpreting financial statements to address audit issues
- Client management: gathering information, communicating effectively, and resolving challenges
- Collaborating within a team environment to maintain efficiency and service standards

Essential Requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualification with prior experience in audit and accounts within a UK accountancy practice
- Strong technical knowledge and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and familiarity with Sage, Xero, or other accounting software (
CCH would be an advantage) - Keen understanding of current legislation, standards, and best practices
- Positive, motivated self-starter with teamwork qualities
- Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Must own/can use a personal vehicle for office client visits
