About The Audit & Accounts Trainee Role

TC SWP in Croydon are looking for an Audit & Accounts Trainee to start in September.
We are welcoming applications from all backgrounds but ideally looking for driven and enthusiastic sixth form / college leavers and graduates who are looking to start an apprenticeship.
A fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to start your career, working towards an internationally recognised qualification (AAT Level 3 and 4 followed by ACCA or ACA) and gaining valuable on-the-job experience with a highly respected business advisory and accountancy firm.
You will join a dynamic team and work with a range of different businesses and rapidly gain responsibility whilst at the same time completing your qualification with us.
You'll have a dedicated people manager and apprentice support manager and work within a team of like-minded individuals at various stages in their studies.
You will learn how to work effectively in a team, how to build strong and lasting professional relationships and also how to deliver exceptional client service. They are diverse roles and you need to be prepared to roll your sleeves up and have a willingness to learn.

Varied roles, you will learn a mix of accounts and audit work, and likely to include some tax work (corporation tax, VAT and possibly some personal tax and payroll).
About You
We are looking for candidates with a real interest and passion for accounting. Successful candidates for this role will be personable and hard-working. As well taking your first steps in a great career you will find your role with us to be enjoyable and fun - everyone within the team is warm, sociable and supportive - you will work with people that stay friends for your entire career.
We provide you with meaningful support as you undertake your exam training and the exams themselves. Whilst we want you to progress rapidly in your career, equally we will only enter you for exams when you are properly prepared.
We are looking for the following skills and experience:
- 4 GCSEs at grade 9-4 (A*-C), including English and Maths, or a Level 2 qualification (Merit or Distinction) in a related subject
- Two A-Levels and three GCSEs (or their equivalent) for graduate
- Relevant degree at 2:2 or above
- Strong attention to detail
- Good numerical and analytical ability
- Communication and teamwork skills
- Time management and organisation
- Basic Excel skills
- Open to feedback and continuously developing technical knowledge
- Handles deadlines, pressure, and repetitive tasks professionally
- Takes initiative to ask questions and solve problems rather than waiting for instruction
