Job Opportunity: Audit & Accounts Manager

Location: Guildford, Surrey Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time Sector: Accountancy Practice / Audit & Accounts

TPF Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Guildford that is looking to recruit an Audit & Accounts Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practice professional to take on a varied and senior role, managing a portfolio of clients across audit and accounts while supporting the development of junior staff and working closely with Partners. The firm offers a collaborative and professional environment, with strong client relationships and a diverse portfolio. The Role As an Audit & Accounts Manager, you will take responsibility for managing client engagements, ensuring high-quality delivery across both audit and accounts assignments. Key responsibilities will include: Managing a portfolio of clients across audit and accounts Leading statutory audits from planning through to completion Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for a range of clients Conducting risk assessments and overseeing audit testing Reviewing work prepared by junior team members, ensuring accuracy and compliance Preparing and presenting management letters and audit findings to clients Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor Supporting and mentoring junior staff, providing guidance and technical support Managing workflow, deadlines and ensuring work is delivered efficiently Assisting Partners with client development and advisory projects Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and auditing standards

Requirements The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will likely have: ACA or ACCA qualified Strong experience within audit and accounts in a UK accountancy practice Proven experience managing client portfolios and leading audit assignments Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards Experience reviewing and supervising junior staff Excellent communication and client-facing skills Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines A proactive and commercially aware approach
