About the Role
TPF Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established and highly regarded independent accountancy practice in Croydon that is looking to recruit an Audit & Accounts Senior to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA part-qualified, nearly qualified or recently qualified accountant looking to develop their career within a modern and supportive practice. The firm has an excellent reputation, a diverse client portfolio and offers genuine progression opportunities, making it an ideal environment for someone looking to take the next step in their career.
As an Audit & Accounts Senior, you will work closely with Managers and Partners to deliver high-quality audit and accounts services to a varied portfolio of clients across a range of industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for a broad portfolio of clients
- Preparing corporation tax computations and returns
- Supervising and reviewing the work of trainees and junior team members
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients throughout assignments
- Identifying audit risks and ensuring compliance with UK auditing and accounting standards
- Preparing management letters and communicating findings to clients
- Supporting Managers with the planning and delivery of client engagements
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through proactive communication
- Assisting with ad hoc advisory projects as required

Requirements
The Ideal Candidate:
- ACA or ACCA part-qualified, nearly qualified or recently qualified
- Experience working within a UK accountancy practice
- Strong audit and statutory accounts preparation experience
- Good working knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- A proactive attitude and ambition to progress within the firm
