Audit and Compliance Coordinator – Part time
Location: Unit 1 High Barns Farm, Bedford Road, Roxton, Bedfordshire, MK44 3ET
Reporting To: Directors
Direct Reports: None
Salary and Benefits: £28,000 to £38,000 dependent on experience
Permanent role, part time 25 hours across 3 days a week
Job Summary:
The Audit and Compliance Coordinator is responsible for supporting the organisation’s governance, risk, and compliance framework, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, ISO standards, and health & safety legislation. The role coordinates audit activities, monitors compliance, and drives continuous improvement across RSP UK’s organisational processes.
Additionally, this role supports the Operations Manager in reporting quality to RSP Germany and assisting alignment, within RSP UK, with the wider group’s corporate standards.
Key Performance Indicators for the role, include successful audit outcomes, timely completion of actions, reduction in incidents and accurate reporting.
This role is key to fostering and embracing internal and external stakeholder engagement and collaborating with external auditors and regulatory bodies.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Audit Coordination:
- Coordinate internal and external audits aligned to ISO standards (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
- Prepare audit schedules, documentation, and evidence
- Act as key liaison between auditors and teams
- Track audit findings and corrective actions
- Maintain audit readiness
Compliance & Regulatory Monitoring:
- Ensure compliance with legislation and internal policies
- Monitor adherence to health & safety regulations
- Maintain compliance registers and documentation
- Support policy reviews
Health & Safety Compliance:
- Support implementation of H&S systems including ISO 45001
- Assist with risk assessments and incident investigations
- Track corrective actions
- Promote a strong H&S culture
ISO & Management Systems:
- Support ISO management system maintenance
- Ensure documentation meets certification standards
- Assist with certification audits
- Monitor adherence to quality, environmental, and safety standards
Risk Management:
- Maintain risk registers
- Support risk assessments
- Escalate risks and breaches

Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare reports on audits and compliance
- Maintain accurate records
- Analyse trends
Training & Awareness:
- Support compliance and H&S training
- Promote awareness of standards and policies
- Provide guidance to employees
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify improvement opportunities
- Support corrective action plans
- Contribute to improvement initiatives
Qualifications Skills and Attributes Required:
- Experience in audit, compliance, and/or governance environments, ideally having worked within engineering and workshop settings.
- Proven experience of quality and compliance frameworks, ideally including ISO 45001, 9001 and 14001.
- Knowledge of UK H&S legislation
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Significant audit coordination experience
- Relevant qualifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO Auditor)
Desirable:
- Prior experience of managing audit and compliance in a standalone role.
