Audit Associate
**Audit Associate (AAT/ACCA)
Location: Birmingham
Role Overview
This is a critical opportunity to gain exposure to the full Audit process while working towards your AAT / ACCA qualification. As an Audit Associate, you will contribute to high-quality audit engagements, gaining technical and professional development support in a collaborative environment.
About the Role
The role offers:
- Hands-on experience in auditing financial statements, regulatory compliance, and identifying internal control observations (misstatements).
- Access to a highly supportive team with mentorship from experienced professionals pursuing similar qualifications.
- Direct involvement in:
- Assessing client systems and balancing sheet/P&L reviews.
- Conducting industry and client research to support audit planning.
- Performing year-end stock counts.
- Reporting and liaising with management on audit findings.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain an in-depth understanding of client systems and business processes to inform audit strategies.
- Conduct detailed financial statement analyses, identify anomalies, and assess regulatory compliance.
- Complete timely assignments across core balance sheet and profit & loss statement accounts.
- Collaborate with senior team members to review and mitigate significant risk areas.
- Engage directly with clients to solicit relevant audit information.
- Contribute actionable insights on internal controls, efficiencies, and audit concerns to management.
- Actively participate in year-end financial claysing activities, including physical asset counts.

Requirements
Applicants should ideally be:
- Enrolled in or nearing completion of an AAT/ACCA qualification.
- Passionate about financial auditing and maintaining rigorous standards.
