Associate Director (Bespoke Analytics Lead) – Audit Data Analytics at RSM UK

Are you an experienced audit professional with a passion for data analytics, commercial development and senior stakeholder engagement?

We are seeking an Associate Director (Bespoke Analytics Lead) to join RSM UK’s Audit Data Analytics function—a team embedded within our audit practice, working alongside engagement teams to:

  • Improve audit quality
  • Support risk-based methodology
  • Enhance the experience for both clients and teams

Key Responsibilities

This is a senior leadership opportunity where you will:

  • Own the commercial, operational and people strategy for our bespoke analytics capability
  • Lead a team of ACA-qualified auditors, delivering client-specific analytical solutions across the audit practice
  • Shape the future of analytics in audit delivery across the firm

Impact Areas

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Owning and developing strategic relationships with senior audit partners and risk leaders (RIs)
  • Identifying opportunities to drive adoption of analytics across the practice
  • Leading the commercial positioning of analytics in major tenders and key engagements—presenting, influencing and owning outcomes
  • Setting the strategic direction for bespoke analytics, shaping how the function evolves, scales and delivers value
  • Overseeing the operating model for bespoke analytics delivery, ensuring:
    • Demand and prioritisation are managed effectively
    • Resourcing is sustainable
  • Building and developing a high-performing team
    • Creating clear progression pathways
    • Embedding a culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement

The Ideal Candidate

Are you someone who:

  • Thrives on building relationships and leading senior conversations?
  • Turns analytical capability into meaningful outcomes?
  • Is commercially minded and confident in influencing partners and risk leaders (RIs)?
  • Has a passion for developing people?

If so, this role could be perfect for you.

What We Look For

  • Auditing qualifications: ACA, ACCA or equivalent, with an audit background
  • Strong understanding of audit methodology
  • Senior stakeholder leadership: Proven ability to drive commercial outcomes independently
  • Experience in taking analytical projects from concept to production in a professional services environment
  • Proficiency with data analytics tooling, such as:
    • No-code/low-code platforms (Alteryx, Dataiku, KNIME)
    • Cloud-based analytics environments
  • Experience leading tender processes, including:
    • Presenting to clients with analytics narrative confidence
    • Influencing strategic outcomes
  • Team development skills:
    • Managing and developing mixed-grade teams (including early-career colleagues)
    • Creating structured development pathways
