MILTON KEYNES VERSION

Audit Director, Route to Partner - Leading Accountancy Firm, Milton Keynes

If you're an experienced auditor who's tired of just executing someone else's strategy and ready to start setting it yourself, this one's worth a proper look.

We're working with a well established, ambitious accountancy firm based in Milton Keynes that's investing seriously in its next wave of leadership. They've got strong momentum behind them and are now looking for an Audit Director RI to help grow their presence with large and listed clients across the region. It's not a role designed to keep someone busy. It's a genuine opportunity to shape strategy, build culture, and move onto a credible path towards becoming a Responsible Individual.

What you'll be doing as Audit Director RI

  • Working closely with senior partners to help shape the firm's strategy and drive sustainable profitability
  • Leading audit engagements for large and listed clients, balancing hands on delivery with genuine leadership
  • Building and developing a team, creating a culture that's inclusive, resilient and actually enjoyable to be part of
  • Taking on an increasing RI capacity, owning client relationships and outcomes rather than just managing them
  • Playing an active role in the firm's succession planning as it continues to grow

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
