Audit Manager

Are you an experienced Audit Manager or an ambitious Audit Assistant Manager ready to take the next step in your career?
Our client is a highly respected and expanding regional accountancy practice with an excellent reputation for delivering quality audit, accountancy and advisory services to a broad portfolio of owner-managed businesses and corporate clients. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an Audit Manager to join their established and supportive team.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a varied client portfolio, lead audit assignments from planning through to completion and play a key role in the continued growth and development of the firm's audit service.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Directors, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a diverse portfolio of audit clients across a range of industry sectors.
- Planning, coordinating and delivering high-quality audit assignments from planning through to completion.
- Ensuring audits are completed efficiently and in accordance with regulatory and professional standards.
- Identifying audit risks and developing tailored audit programmes.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, providing a first-class service throughout the audit process.
- Managing audit budgets, billing and recoverability to achieve financial targets.
- Leading, mentoring and developing junior members of the audit team, providing coaching and constructive feedback.
- Supporting business development activities, including networking, tender opportunities and winning new work.
- Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of audit processes and service delivery.

About You
The successful candidate will have:
- ACA or ACCA qualification.
- Previous experience managing audit assignments within an accountancy practice.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards.
- Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience supervising and developing junior team members.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience with audit software such as MyWorkpapers would be advantageous.
