An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Audit Manager to join a highly regarded UK accountancy and advisory practice in Leeds. Working with a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, large private companies, and listed organisations, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality audit services while supporting the continued growth of the firm.

As Audit Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of audit clients and leading audit engagements from planning through to completion.

- Managing a varied portfolio of audit clients across multiple sectors.
- Leading audit assignments and ensuring delivery to budget and deadline.
- Reviewing audit files and providing technical guidance to teams.
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients and developing strong working relationships.
- Advising clients on accounting and financial reporting matters.
- Identifying opportunities to expand services and support business development activities.
- Managing, mentoring, and developing junior team members.
- Supporting recruitment, training, and performance management initiatives.
- Assisting partners and directors with project work and strategic client engagements.
Profile
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification.
- Strong external audit experience gained within an accountancy practice.
- Previous experience managing audit assignments and leading teams.
- Good knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102 and/or IFRS.
- Experience working with a range of corporate clients.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive and commercial approach to client service.
- A passion for coaching and developing junior colleagues.
