I am partnered with a Top 10 UK accountancy and advisory practice with a strong national and international presence. They are looking to strengthen their Corporate Audit team with an experienced Audit Manager to join their growing team in Leeds.

The team works with a diverse portfolio of businesses, ranging from listed and regulated entities to large privately owned groups and entrepreneurial businesses across a variety of sectors.

The firm has built a reputation for delivering high-quality audit and advisory services to organisations operating in complex and evolving environments. The team offers exposure to a broad range of engagements, providing excellent opportunities for professional development, client interaction and progression. Alongside core audit work, individuals may also gain experience on specialist assignments such as transaction support, capital market projects and investigative engagements.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of corporate audit clients, ensuring assignments are delivered on time and to a high standard
  • Lead audit engagements from planning through to completion, reporting key findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Review the work of junior team members, providing guidance, training and constructive feedback
  • Identify technical accounting and audit issues and work collaboratively to develop effective solutions
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact throughout the audit process
  • Support business development initiatives, including networking activities and identifying opportunities within existing client relationships
  • Contribute to resource planning, staff development and wider departmental objectives
  • Assist with recruitment, mentoring and performance management responsibilities

Requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified
  • Strong external audit experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment
  • Experience managing audit assignments and overseeing junior team members
  • Good knowledge of IFRS and/or UK GAAP reporting frameworks
  • Exposure to corporate clients, including larger and more complex organisations
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ideally 2–3 years' post-qualified experience within a commercial audit environment
