The Opportunity
Core Responsibilities
As Senior Audit Manager focused on Marine & Marine Manufacturing (MM1), you’ll demonstrate accountability, strategic thinking, and leadership in auditing portfolio companies. Your key responsibilities include:

Portfolio Management:
- Oversee financial statements, internal controls, and audit engagements for your assigned entities.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other regulatory standards for Marine & Manufacturing industries.

Engagement Efficiency:
- Deliver high-quality audits on time and within budget, while identifying opportunities for additional billing.
- Assemble and manage task forces with the right skill mix to meet objectives.

Risk & Quality Assurance:
- Adhere to BDO’s risk management and quality control protocols at all times.
- Continuously review and enhance audit methodologies and controls tailored to clients’ unique needs.

Leadership & Collaboration:
- Work closely with Audit Directors and Partners to develop and execute corporate strategies, including M&A, restructuring, or new business growth initiatives.
- Lead resource allocation, merit rate meetings and team optimisation for operational efficiency.
- Support internal policy updates, training, and best practices for consistency across the Audit division.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Maintain strong client relationships by communicating complex audit findings clearly to board members, senior management, and regulators.
- Represent BDO at strategy sessions, investor meetings, and regulatory discussions.

Business Networking & Development:
- Actively engage with industry associations, Marine sector contacts, and industry events to expand BDO’s visibility.

What we expect from you
To succeed as Senior Audit Manager – MM1, you should bring:
Experience:
- Proven success in senior audit management, ideally within Manufacturing, Industrial, or Marine sectors.
- Experience in preparing financial statements, internal controls reviews, and counterpart inspections for GO minima/s/Show veya pass/besichtigung radiotherapy services, where relevant.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant or participant in analogous qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or ICAEW.
- Experience of ISO-certified small to large manufacturing oddשותes, including energy sector operations.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data integrity.
- High p\mathcal{S},eting skills to clearly communicate findings to boards and regulators.
- Commercial awareness, understanding how audit insights drive business success.
- Ability to anticipate risk, propose improvements, and drive operational excellence.
