About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Audit Senior to join a reputable professional services firm within the Accounting & Finance department. This position is based in Bristol and requires a strong understanding of audit processes and financial reporting.

The organisation is a well-established, small-sized professional services firm specialising in Accounting & Finance. They are committed to providing high-quality services to their clients while fostering a supportive and professional work environment.
Description
- Plan, execute, and finalise audit engagements for Charities.
- Leading planning and clearance meetings with clients; from planning through to completion, under the supervision of managers and partners.
- Preparing charity SORP accounts as part of the audit/IE assignment.
- Opportunity to take a manager role (reporting direct to partner) on a portfolio of independent examination clients (subject to experience).
- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with relevant standards.
- Opportunity to carry out ad hoc consultancy projects for clients, for example, trustee training, grant audits, VAT reviews, accounting system implementation and virtual FD work (subject to experience).
- Identify and communicate audit findings and recommend process improvements.
- Supervising trainees, and providing training, development and mentoring to them.
- Ensure adherence to deadlines and maintain high-quality standards throughout projects.
- Collaborate with clients to address queries and provide tailored solutions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of audit strategies and methodologies.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting and auditing standards within the professional services industry.

Profile
A Successful Audit Senior Should Have
- Professional accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of audit procedures and financial reporting standards.
- Charity Audit Experience
- Experience working within the professional services industry.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
- Proven ability to mentor and support junior team members.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.

Job Offer
- Competitive salary in the range of £43,000-£46,000, depending on experience.
- Annual discretionary performance bonus, typically between 5% to 10% of salary.
- Universal Christmas bonus, typically around £500.
