Senior Auditor – Audit Department

Department: Audit Employment Type: Permanent – Full Time Location: London

Description

An exciting opportunity for an Audit Senior to join the team. The role will involve supporting the audit function in delivering high-quality audit work, ensuring adherence to industry standards, and achieving all deadlines whilst maintaining budgetary constraints.

About The Role

Scope, Reach & Key Relationships

  • Engages with all stakeholders in the audit process, including:
    • Partners and colleagues in other service lines acting as key audit stakeholders
    • Clients and external contacts
    • Supervision of Audit semi-seniors & assistants
    • Government entities (e.g., HMRC)
    • External organisations

Job/Workflow & Technical Management

  • Implements allocated client audit work within agreed structures:
    • Ensures effective team workflows with clear deadlines
    • Leads audit planning meetings
    • Prepares and delegates tasks in alignment with budgetary and KR Way performance standards
    • Monitors work progress with internal/external stakeholders
    • Issues resolution for complex/high-risk client concerns
    • Completes audits comprehensively, including confirming Going Concern and Key Audit Findings
    • Maintains audit file documentation, reviews sections of work (except intricate technical elements), and supports file review processes
    • Facilitates file clearancing through managerial and RI review pathways
    • Provides assistance across audit service lines as necessary
    • Independently assists with audit bill generation for self-team work
    • Acts as the go-to contact for outsourced team members
    • Applies insights from completed audits to current and future projects
    • Keeps workflow records accurate and up-to-date

Client, Internal & External Relations

  • Primary client contact during fieldwork:
    • Maintains proactive communication (e.g., organizing stock assessments)
    • Ensures timely responses to calls, emails, and meetings
    • Runs client review/account close-down meetings
    • Validates compliance with client engagement frameworks (AML, KYC)
